Case study

Waltham, MA—An informed dental consumer drives the competitive orthodontic market nowadays. To stay ahead of the curve, orthodontic practices implement innovative treatment options like LightForce Orthodontics’ digital platform and fully customized 3D-printing orthodontic technology. AMC Bridge applied its extensive experience in 3D development projects to help LightForce make their platform even more flexible, easy to use, and automated.

LightForce is a Massachusetts-based manufacturer of the world’s first fully customized, 3D-printed brackets. To continue delivering significant advancements in the brackets-based treatment protocol, LightForce aimed to make the existing workflow faster and more accurate with expanded process automation and more design tools for users. The company entrusted the project to AMC Bridge, a vendor with profound expertise and a proven track record of successfully delivered 3D development solutions.

The AMC Bridge team started with designing and implementing the jaw scan segmentation solution essential for an important preprocess in CAD orthodontics. After successful delivery, the client engaged the team in other challenges, including cloud migration, automation, development of new tools and interfaces, and integration into one application.

The client’s business has grown due to the solution enhancements such as complex calculations in the cloud and on the desktop, data transfer, different types of user collaboration, and so on.
